Consolidated Electronic Industries

Consolidated Electronic Industries (CEI) manufactured the Cuemaster brand Cart Recorder/Players from the 1960's until the 1990's.

CEI also took over the iconic 77 Series broadcast tape recorders from Plessey around 1980 (approx).
They manufactured the existing Mark IV design, and built on that with the MK V - which was the last in the series.

The Mark Five G was the last in the line - a minor update on the Mark V series.
By this time most broadcasters were moving across to the Japanese imports (particularly Otari 5050B's), which were significantly cheaper.
