!!! Schafer Automation Manuals * [Schafer Automation Preliminary Instructions for the 1200 Automation System|Upload:SchaferModel1200AutomationInterimInstructions.pdf]. Schafer Automation, read Paul Schafer, began to build his magic automation systems in the mid-50's out in the great state of California. Earliest units consisted of step relays and individual 45 rpm juke boxes. Here is one of the first of his automation systems, which was built in a much more professional manner to work with rows of Ampex tape decks and Spotmaster tape machines. WCPO-FM used this with a beautiful music format for many of its' earliest years of programming until the FCC broke up simulcast programming in the mid to late 60's. This unit was later used at WKUZ-FM, Wabash, Ind to provide some walk away time for announcers and for night time fill work. Submitted by Stanley Adams. Video * [In the Loop - Paul Schafer|http://vimeo.com/47825053] - A 34 minute documentary about Paul Schafer, the founder of Radio Automation. Produced by Denise Gallant of Video4Creative for Santa Cruz Community TV. ---- Back to HomePage
Contribute Documents? <?plugin UpLoad ?>
